Alexa Imwalle is a passionate educator, reading interventionist, and coach with a wealth of experience in the field of education. With a strong background as a former elementary school teacher, she has dedicated her career to helping students develop strong literacy skills and a love for reading. Alexa understands the importance of early intervention and believes in providing tailored support to help struggling readers reach their full potential. She is the owner and founder of Smart Start Tutors LLC, a boutique tutoring company that specializes in helping students in grades K-5 to close their reading gap and develop the skills to be independent and confident readers.
Alexa also is the owner and founder of Alexa Imwalle Tutor Coach where she guides aspiring and established tutors on their journey to creating successful tutoring businesses. With her extensive experience and expertise in the field, she empowers driven educators to take their passion for educating into the online space, replace their full time income, work from anywhere, and align their professional work with their life dreams.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Alexa is a devoted wife and mother. She cherishes her role as a mom to twin 5-year-old girls and a baby boy, finding joy in nurturing their growth and fostering a love for learning in their young lives.
Alexa lives in Maryland with her husband, Winston, and their three children. When Alexa is not teaching or coaching; you can find her on the golf course, nose deep in a book, and chasing her energetic and fun loving children around.
